Arrange the first appointment before treating forms as a booking
Amarillo College’s Forms page tells new clients to arrange an initial appointment before completing the new-client paperwork. Its What to Expect page links the Counseling Center Student Portal and the center’s appointment route.
Begin with the official counseling pages and make sure you have a date or a clear scheduling instruction from the center. If a page or portal is unavailable, contact the Counseling Center using the details on the official page. Describe the step you were trying to complete. An account registration, a saved form and an appointment confirmation are different records; check which one you actually have.

Use the Forms tab with your ACConnect credentials
The college directs students to use their ACConnect credentials in the Counseling Center Student Portal and select the Forms tab for intake paperwork.
Allow time before the visit to work through the assigned forms in a private setting. Check that you are in the counseling portal linked by the college rather than the academic course-registration system. If a required item is unclear, ask the counseling office how to handle it instead of guessing. Keep a note of the form title and the technical problem if submission fails; do not send your password to anyone helping with access.

Confirm follow-up scheduling and the forms assigned to you
The What to Expect page describes follow-up scheduling as a conversation between the student and counselor. Returning clients are directed to complete forms assigned by their counselor in the portal.
Before leaving a visit, ask how the next appointment will be arranged and which forms to look for. Use the instructions for your own appointment rather than assuming that every questionnaire is due on the same schedule. If work or class conflicts arise, notify the center through its published contact route and ask what needs to be rescheduled. Keep the original visit on your calendar until the change is confirmed.

Clarify the clinician and practical plan after intake
Amarillo College says the clinician at the initial visit may differ from the counselor who provides subsequent care.
Ask who will contact you next and how to identify the assigned counselor’s messages. If another service is recommended, write down the receiving office and ask who makes the first contact. A short personal checklist can make a busy school week easier to navigate without putting detailed health information into a shared calendar.
- Confirmed date, format and location of the appointment.
- Portal forms assigned for that visit and whether they were submitted.
- Counselor or office responsible for arranging the next visit.
- Contact route to use if a scheduling or portal problem remains.
Considering therapy or medication management at Lyte
Lyte provides therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Ask which service and clinician fit your needs. A medication evaluation does not guarantee a prescription or continuation of a particular medication.
Lyte Psychiatry offers telehealth visits to patients who are physically located in Texas at the time of the visit. In-person appointments take place at Lyte’s Pantego clinic; this campus guide does not describe a Lyte office at the institution.
Coverage and costs depend on your specific plan, clinician, visit type and deductible. Confirm network status and expected costs before booking. A student plan, parent’s plan or campus referral does not by itself establish Lyte coverage.
Request a Lyte appointmentConfirm appointment format, availability and costs before booking. For questions, call 469-733-0848. Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time. Weekend appointments are limited and offered case by case.
Send medical records and insurance details only through the practice’s approved secure intake process.
