Common Questions
Finding a Provider: FAQs
Do you see patients outside Dallas–Fort Worth?
Yes. In-person visits happen at our clinic at 2900 W Park Row Dr in Pantego (Arlington), and every other Texas and New Mexico city is served by secure telehealth. The providers, appointment length, and standard of care are the same either way.
Is online psychiatry as effective as an in-person visit?
For evaluation, medication management, and talk therapy, research consistently finds telepsychiatry outcomes comparable to office visits. You meet the same board-certified provider by video, and if your needs ever call for in-person care, we say so and help you arrange it.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
Most new patients are seen within the same week, and same-day or next-day openings are often available. Booking directly with our team is usually faster than waiting on directory callbacks.
How much will a visit cost me?
We accept most major plans — Ambetter, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Aetna, Medicare, Tricare, and more — and most insured patients pay $0–$30 per visit. Self-pay rates are published on our cost page.
Which type of provider should I choose?
If medication might be part of your treatment, start with a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner. If you want talk therapy, start with a therapist or counselor. Psychologists provide therapy plus formal psychological testing. Not sure? The 2-minute matching quiz will point you to the right fit.
Can medication be prescribed through a telehealth visit?
Yes — Texas and New Mexico both allow prescribing through telehealth when clinically appropriate. Certain controlled medications carry additional state and federal requirements, which your provider will walk through with you before anything is prescribed.
My city is not listed. Can you still see me?
If you are anywhere in Texas or New Mexico, yes. Telehealth coverage is statewide in both states — the city pages exist to answer local questions, but eligibility only depends on the state you are in at the time of your visit.
