Choose a location around the classes you actually attend
The college lists counseling offices at Brookhaven, Cedar Valley, Eastfield, El Centro, Mountain View, North Lake and Richland. One district guide can therefore serve students who travel between locations; there is no need to start a new search for each campus name.
Use the office map linked from the counseling page before traveling. If you study at one campus but work or take another class elsewhere, ask which location can handle your request. Include the days you can attend, travel time between classes and whether a virtual appointment would solve the transport problem. A listed office does not establish an opening at your preferred time.

Look for the invitation for a virtual visit
For a scheduled virtual session, Dallas College says Counseling and Psychological Services emails a calendar invitation containing the appointment time and connection details. The invitation, rather than a general college video-conference link, is the item to check before the session.
Confirm that you can open the invitation on the device you will use. If the link is missing, contact counseling through its official page. Tell the office if your location or access to a private space changes. Ask what to do if the connection fails so a technical interruption is not mistaken for a deliberate missed visit.

Use a community referral as the beginning of another process
Dallas College describes its counseling as short term and maintains a separate community resource page. That page includes the North Texas Behavioral Health Authority as a resource for help accessing community services.
If you need an outside appointment, ask the campus counselor which type of office to contact and whether the referral has actually been sent. Then ask the receiving office about its intake, fees, insurance verification and records requirements. Keep track of the contact you tried and its response. If a resource cannot take your request, bring that specific obstacle back to counseling rather than simply repeating the same call.

Considering therapy or medication management at Lyte
Lyte provides therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Ask which service and clinician fit your needs. A medication evaluation does not guarantee a prescription or continuation of a particular medication.
Lyte Psychiatry offers telehealth visits to patients who are physically located in Texas at the time of the visit. In-person appointments take place at Lyte’s Pantego clinic; this campus guide does not describe a Lyte office at the institution.
Coverage and costs depend on your specific plan, clinician, visit type and deductible. Confirm network status and expected costs before booking. A student plan, parent’s plan or campus referral does not by itself establish Lyte coverage.
Request a Lyte appointmentConfirm appointment format, availability and costs before booking. For questions, call 469-733-0848. Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time. Weekend appointments are limited and offered case by case.
Send medical records and insurance details only through the practice’s approved secure intake process.
Questions before you arrange care
Does a virtual counseling request mean I already have the meeting link?
Check for the calendar invitation from Counseling and Psychological Services. The college describes that invitation as the source of the scheduled time and connection details. If it has not arrived, ask the department to confirm the appointment and next step.

Does a Dallas College referral pay for an outside appointment?
The college’s resource list is a way to find additional services. Ask each outside organization about eligibility, charges and any insurance requirements before booking; a resource listing is not a payment authorization.
