Have the enrolled student make the appointment request
Kilgore restricts this appointment-request form to currently enrolled students. Parents, instructors and others are directed to have the student use the request route.
If you are helping someone, share the official page and let the student complete their own request. You can help them identify their college account or make a list of schedule constraints without answering as that student. If the student cannot use the form, ask the counseling office what assistance or alternative process is appropriate rather than submitting a request under someone else’s identity.
Resolve the age and dual-credit questions accurately
The form asks whether the student is in high-school dual credit and whether they are 18 or older. Kilgore’s instructions say parental consent is required for a student younger than 18.
Use your actual status when completing these questions. If the consent process is unclear, ask which document is needed, who completes it and how the office wants it returned. A dual-credit student should not assume that a high-school permission form already covers this separate request. Treat the college’s instructions as its intake process, and ask the office to resolve an unusual situation.
Check the KC email and the contact details you provide
Kilgore requires a KC email address on the request and asks for a phone contact, including whether the number can receive texts.
Make sure you can open the college mailbox you are entering. If access is broken, ask for account help before relying on that address for follow-up. Review the phone number carefully and answer the texting question accurately. If a contact method is difficult for you to use, ask the counseling office how to arrange communication rather than assuming that every listed method will be used.
Separate your preferred format from the confirmed appointment
The request asks for a session-format preference.
Choose the preference that fits your circumstances and keep a note of the request date. When the office responds, verify the actual format, date and any remaining consent or intake steps. If the offered arrangement conflicts with class, explain the conflict and ask how to revise it. Until you receive appointment details, keep the task listed as a request awaiting a response; selecting a preference alone is not a confirmed visit.
- Can I access the KC mailbox I used?
- Does my contact number contain the correct digits?
- Is any consent step still outstanding?
- Have I received an actual appointment confirmation?
Considering therapy or medication management at Lyte
Lyte provides therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Ask which service and clinician fit your needs. A medication evaluation does not guarantee a prescription or continuation of a particular medication.
Lyte Psychiatry offers telehealth visits to patients who are physically located in Texas at the time of the visit. In-person appointments take place at Lyte’s Pantego clinic; this campus guide does not describe a Lyte office at the institution.
Coverage and costs depend on your specific plan, clinician, visit type and deductible. Confirm network status and expected costs before booking. A student plan, parent’s plan or campus referral does not by itself establish Lyte coverage.

Questions before you arrange care
Can a parent complete Kilgore’s counseling appointment request for a student?
The form is for the currently enrolled student to submit. A parent can share the official route or ask the office how to assist when the student cannot use it.
What should a student younger than 18 clarify?
Ask the counseling office about Kilgore’s parental-consent process, including the required form and return method, before treating the appointment arrangements as complete.
