Ask case management to help identify the next service
Laredo College describes case management as help connecting students with campus and community resources. Its counseling-triage function can connect a student with a campus counselor or outside assistance; the same office also helps navigate basic-needs concerns.
Give the case manager a short account of the practical obstacle. For example, you may have a referral but no receiving-office instructions, or you may be trying to arrange care while also dealing with transportation or housing. Ask for the name of the service to contact next and whether you or the case manager will initiate that contact.
Request the counseling appointment through Student Health Services and Wellness
The Counseling Services page directs students to Student Health Services and Wellness to request an appointment. It describes short-term individual counseling and provides a separate link for virtual services.
When making the request, distinguish a first appointment from a follow-up or a referral question. Give a reliable way to reach you and ask where appointment instructions will arrive. If a case manager referred you, mention that connection so the office can explain whether another intake step is needed. Keep the actual appointment confirmation, including its format and location, before arranging time away from class.

Use your school email for the college’s TimelyCare route
The college’s TimelyCare instructions use a school-email login and identify enrolled students as the eligible group. Student Health Services and Wellness is the named contact when a student cannot log in.
Open TimelyCare through the college’s link and check which email address you used. If access fails, describe the error to the college support contact without sending your password. Ask whether the issue concerns enrollment recognition, account setup or the device. Once access works, identify the service and follow its booking instructions; resolving a login problem does not itself reserve a counseling appointment.

Turn an outside referral into a short action list
When the next step is outside the college, use the case-management conversation to clarify the handoff. Ask the receiving office about its intake and costs directly, then return to the person coordinating the referral if an administrative obstacle remains.
A useful note can be brief enough to check between classes. Record what you completed, what is still pending and the person or office responsible for the next reply.
- Name and contact route of the recommended service.
- Whether a referral has been sent or you must request an appointment yourself.
- Any records or permission form the receiving office requests.
- Date you will follow up if you have not received the next instruction.
Considering therapy or medication management at Lyte
Lyte provides therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Ask which service and clinician fit your needs. A medication evaluation does not guarantee a prescription or continuation of a particular medication.
Lyte Psychiatry offers telehealth visits to patients who are physically located in Texas at the time of the visit. In-person appointments take place at Lyte’s Pantego clinic; this campus guide does not describe a Lyte office at the institution.
Coverage and costs depend on your specific plan, clinician, visit type and deductible. Confirm network status and expected costs before booking. A student plan, parent’s plan or campus referral does not by itself establish Lyte coverage.
Request a Lyte appointmentConfirm appointment format, availability and costs before booking. For questions, call 469-733-0848. Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time. Weekend appointments are limited and offered case by case.
Send medical records and insurance details only through the practice’s approved secure intake process.
