Start with the Counseling and Wellness appointment link
NTCC’s counseling page links a Request Appointment route and publishes the center’s email contact.
Use that link for a counseling request rather than an academic-advising calendar. If you cannot complete the request, tell the center which step is failing and ask how to proceed. Check any response for the appointment details and remaining tasks. Keep a note of whether you have submitted a request or received a confirmed visit; those are separate stages of the process.

Confirm face-to-face or teletherapy arrangements with the center
The center lists teletherapy and face-to-face sessions among its services.
Ask which format applies to the appointment you are arranging. For an in-person visit, verify the office location and arrival instructions. For a remote visit, ask how to join and what to do if the link is missing. If you will be traveling, check location requirements before relying on the virtual option. A format listed on the website does not confirm a particular time or location for your visit.

Ask about the written mental-health-record request
NTCC’s notification page directs written records requests to the Director of Mental Health Services, in person or through the published counseling email. It specifies identifying details and a description of the records requested.
Contact the office to confirm the current form or written-request instructions and the approved delivery method. Clarify what identification is needed before sending sensitive documents. State whether the copy is for you or a particular receiving office, and check the recipient’s details. If another appointment creates a deadline, ask what processing information the center can provide.
Keep record delivery, counseling and room use as distinct requests
The counseling page also lists a mindfulness and relaxation room separately from its session services.
If you want to use that space, ask the center how access works rather than assuming an appointment request reserves it. Likewise, a records request should stay on your task list until you know what was sent and to whom. If another practice needs the records, confirm its intake separately. Naming each task makes it easier to follow up when you have several open requests with the same office.
- What appointment, if any, has been confirmed?
- What record request is still being processed?
- Does room access need a separate arrangement?

Considering therapy or medication management at Lyte
Lyte provides therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Ask which service and clinician fit your needs. A medication evaluation does not guarantee a prescription or continuation of a particular medication.
Lyte Psychiatry offers telehealth visits to patients who are physically located in Texas at the time of the visit. In-person appointments take place at Lyte’s Pantego clinic; this campus guide does not describe a Lyte office at the institution.
Coverage and costs depend on your specific plan, clinician, visit type and deductible. Confirm network status and expected costs before booking. A student plan, parent’s plan or campus referral does not by itself establish Lyte coverage.
Confirm appointment format, availability and costs before booking. For questions, call 469-733-0848. Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time. Weekend appointments are limited and offered case by case.
Send medical records and insurance details only through the practice’s approved secure intake process.
Questions before you arrange care
Where should an NTCC counseling-record request be directed?
The college’s notification page identifies the Director of Mental Health Services at Counseling and Wellness. Contact the office for the current written-request and delivery instructions.
Does a records request also reserve a counseling appointment?
Treat the requests separately. Use the center’s appointment route for a visit and confirm the records process with the office handling that request.
