Start with the counseling contact on Health and Wellness
South Plains’ Health and Wellness page lists a counseling scheduling contact and describes in-person and online appointments for students across campuses.
Tell the office which campus you attend and what format you are seeking. Include the days you can realistically participate and ask how the appointment will be confirmed. If you are requesting a virtual visit, check the joining instructions and any location requirements with the office. Do not assume that selecting an online format means you can attend from any location.

Confirm the location attached to your appointment
The Mental Health Resources page lists Levelland and Lubbock Downtown for in-person counseling. Another counseling page names Reese, so the public location instructions are not consistent.
Ask the scheduling office for the current building and room for your specific visit before arranging transportation. If a link or older instruction points somewhere else, describe the discrepancy and ask which direction to follow. Save the confirmed location with the appointment time. A campus name in a general service list does not establish where your counselor will meet you that day.

Explain existing care and ask what the campus service can arrange
The separate Personal Counseling page includes an outside-counseling restriction that is not stated in the broader Health and Wellness description.
If you already work with a therapist, tell the scheduling office and ask how the current campus process applies. Keep that eligibility question separate from decisions about changing established care. Discuss any proposed care changes with the clinician involved rather than acting on conflicting website wording. If the campus service suggests another resource, ask for the receiving contact and the next administrative step.

Use the separate route for the medical clinic or resource discussion
The Health and Wellness page gives the Student Health Clinic its own eligibility criteria and appointment number. It also offers a contact for discussing community resource referrals.
When contacting the center, say whether you want counseling, a medical-clinic appointment or help identifying community resources. Ask which office owns the request instead of assuming one booking covers all three. For a community connection, confirm whether you need to contact the organization yourself and what information it asks for. Track those tasks separately if you are arranging more than one service.

Considering therapy or medication management at Lyte
Lyte provides therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Ask which service and clinician fit your needs. A medication evaluation does not guarantee a prescription or continuation of a particular medication.
Lyte Psychiatry offers telehealth visits to patients who are physically located in Texas at the time of the visit. In-person appointments take place at Lyte’s Pantego clinic; this campus guide does not describe a Lyte office at the institution.
Coverage and costs depend on your specific plan, clinician, visit type and deductible. Confirm network status and expected costs before booking. A student plan, parent’s plan or campus referral does not by itself establish Lyte coverage.
Confirm appointment format, availability and costs before booking. For questions, call 469-733-0848. Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time. Weekend appointments are limited and offered case by case.
Send medical records and insurance details only through the practice’s approved secure intake process.
Questions before you arrange care
Which South Plains campus should I travel to for counseling?
Confirm the campus, building and room with the scheduling office for your specific appointment. Public pages name different locations, so use the office’s confirmation before traveling.

What should I do if I already have an outside therapist?
Explain that to the campus office and ask how its current access process applies. Discuss any care changes with your clinician rather than changing established care because of a website eligibility statement.
