Request counseling through Student Development
The college’s counseling page directs students to email counseling@wc.edu to arrange an appointment through Student Development. Its health-and-wellness page also provides a phone contact and an in-person way to ask about scheduling.
Keep the initial request focused on arranging a conversation. State that you are seeking counseling, give a way to reach you and mention any difficulty attending at particular times. Ask where and how the appointment will take place. If you receive an instruction containing the words Coyote Care, clarify that it refers to the counseling arrangement you requested before assuming it follows the medical clinic’s walk-in process.

Use Coyote Clinic pre-registration for the medical route
The Coyote Clinic page describes a medical service provided through Parker County Hospital District. It says appointments are not required for that clinic and recommends pre-registration through the linked district system.
If you need the medical service, open its registration link from the official college page and check the current clinic details before going. If you are trying to arrange counseling, return to the counseling contact rather than treating medical pre-registration as a therapy booking. The service name on the confirmation matters more than the fact that both routes appear in the health-and-wellness section.

Check whether the clinic can address the request
The medical clinic lists specific services and exclusions, including chronic health conditions. The college locates its health resources in the lower level of LART, while its pages use both Coyote Clinic and Coyote Care terminology.
Before making a trip, tell the appropriate office what kind of appointment or administrative help you need and ask for its current room and hours. For an ongoing treatment question, ask your treating clinician how to proceed while you identify the correct service. A walk-in medical listing should not be interpreted as confirmation that the clinic will assume ongoing psychiatric care.

Check the details of an outside counseling referral
Student Development describes coordination with community agencies when a referral is needed.
Ask which organization to contact and whether you should make the first call. Use the receiving organization to verify its current intake and costs instead of relying on a price quoted in a general directory. If transportation or class time makes the suggested route difficult, tell the person helping with the referral exactly what would prevent you from completing it.
- Write the receiving organization and service name together.
- Confirm whether it expects a referral, your own appointment request or both.
- Ask how records should be sent if the receiving clinician needs them.
- Keep the college contact available for an unresolved handoff question.
Considering therapy or medication management at Lyte
Lyte provides therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Ask which service and clinician fit your needs. A medication evaluation does not guarantee a prescription or continuation of a particular medication.
Lyte Psychiatry offers telehealth visits to patients who are physically located in Texas at the time of the visit. In-person appointments take place at Lyte’s Pantego clinic; this campus guide does not describe a Lyte office at the institution.
Coverage and costs depend on your specific plan, clinician, visit type and deductible. Confirm network status and expected costs before booking. A student plan, parent’s plan or campus referral does not by itself establish Lyte coverage.
Confirm appointment format, availability and costs before booking. For questions, call 469-733-0848. Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time. Weekend appointments are limited and offered case by case.
Send medical records and insurance details only through the practice’s approved secure intake process.
Questions before you arrange care
Does Coyote Clinic medical pre-registration book counseling?
The college publishes a separate counseling appointment route through Student Development. Confirm counseling directly rather than treating medical pre-registration as a counseling appointment.

Why do I need to confirm the service if both pages mention LART?
The college’s pages describe different medical and counseling entry steps. Confirming the service, format and location helps you arrive for the appointment you intended.
